ROCK ISLAND, IL – State senate candidate Glen Evans has declared his intent to run on the ballot for 2022’s Illinois State Senate election. Growing up in the community watching the devastating impact Democratic policies have weighed on the state of Illinois that seem to primarily benefit the Chicagoland area has weighed heavily on Glen’s mind. While many in Illinois continue voting robotically Democratic, the Republican party has seen rising support.
More and more persons are choosing the Republican policies, tax breaks, and for the people motivation rising gradually in Springfield, Illinois.
Leadership, job creation, and tax breaks are at the top of Glen Evans’ priorities. Giving a voice back to those who are not heard, great ideas to be implemented not already in place, and putting the power back into the hands of the people who wish to see all succeed, not just some is Glen’s definition of the American Dream.
“We have too long given our leaders too much autonomy not holding them responsible for silencing the voices of our people in our own communities,” Glen writes, I want to change that. The American Dream is in the heart of every American and in the eyes of every Illinois resident and small business.
As your State Senator I pledge to be available for those we serve while in office, not standing above and beyond using only the backs of those who we are sworn to speak on behalf of. It is time for a change for the better. Your vote can make that change happen. Your vote is your choice and you should vote your choice for the candidate of your choice who will work for you. Glen Evans Calls for his Opponent Mike Halpin
to Denounce Illinois Speaker Welch to resign
ROCK ISLAND, IL -- Today, State Senate Republican candidate Glen Evans called on Democratic incumbent Mike Halpin 72 to stand up for the citizens of his district and reject as Speaker Welch, and return and refuse all campaign contributions from corrupt Democratic leaders' tainted offers.
Illinoisans are left to wonder... What will it take for Democrats to reject their corrupt leaders?
GOP candidate for the State Senate 36 District has called on his opponent Mike Halpin to denounce Speaker Emanual Welch and call on the speaker to resign. This challenge has been issued to Halpin because for years he has benefited politically, and his campaign has benefited financially from his steadfast support of Speaker Welch. While Republicans have viewed Madigan as an issue for decades, holding up needed reform of public pensions and standing in the way of efforts to improve the quality and cost of Illinois government, Democrat Halpin has turned a blind eye to Madigan's financial dealings while supporting his retention of the speaker's office.
